Post Natal Personal Trainer For New Mums

As women, we face a unique set of challenges and changes with our bodies and lives after giving birth, and sometimes standard fitness regimes simply do not fit with these changes. That is why as a post natal personal trainer, my goal is to support you in reconnecting with your body, building strength, and finding balance—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Postpartum fitness is about much more than losing weight; it’s about helping you feel strong, confident, and empowered as you navigate this new chapter.

Why Work with a Post Natal Personal Trainer?

The postpartum period is a time of recovery, and working with a post natal personal trainer ensures that your fitness journey is safe and effective. I specialise in helping new mums regain their strength, improve mobility, and address common postpartum challenges, such as core weakness, pelvic floor recovery, and overall well-being. Together, we’ll create a program that meets you where you are and grows with you as you rebuild your fitness foundation.

Postpartum Fitness: More Than Just Weight Loss

While many women feel pressure to "bounce back" after pregnancy, my approach as a post natal personal trainer goes beyond weight loss. It’s about helping you feel healthy, strong, and confident in your body, whatever your fitness goals may be. I focus on rebuilding your body from the inside out, with exercises that promote healing, restore function, and support your long-term health.

Postpartum fitness is a journey, not a race. I’m here to guide you at a pace that feels right for you, whether your goal is to increase energy, regain strength, or simply feel more like yourself.

Meet Your Personal Trainer, Jenni

Hey, I'm Jen! I am a pole dancing, weight lifting, carb eating boxing queen and I am completely obsessed with helping women find confidence and self esteem through movement that works for them and their busy lives. I have worked in the fitness industry as a health and wellbeing coach for over seven years. In this time, I have worked as a coach at Ministry of Sound, Double Jab Boxing Club and The Bridge women's only gym and have mainly worked with women and non-binary folk in this time. Prior to retraining as a coach, I worked in Art sales in London. I spent my spare time in the gym weight training and boxing. I was an endorphin addict! When I retrained as a personal trainer, I made it my goal to help people find movement that worked best for them and their hectic lifestyles, as I knew exactly how it felt to work full time and have to cram exercise in!

The Benefits Of Post Natal Personal Training

After giving birth, your body has gone through an incredible transformation, and it’s essential to approach postpartum fitness with care and understanding. Here’s how working with a post natal personal trainer can benefit you:

Boost Energy & Mood

Core & Pelvic Floor Strengthening

Pregnancy and childbirth can weaken your core and pelvic floor, leading to discomfort or even issues like diastasis recti or incontinence. My programs focus on gentle, effective exercises to rebuild strength in these areas, helping you recover safely and regain confidence in your body.

Improved Posture & Mobility

The demands of caring for a newborn can often lead to poor posture, tight muscles, and aches. As your post natal personal trainer, I’ll guide you through movements that improve posture, increase flexibility, and reduce the physical strain of motherhood.

Being a new mum is exhausting, and while rest is essential, gentle movement can help boost your energy levels and improve your mood. Exercise releases endorphins—your body's natural mood enhancers—helping to combat feelings of fatigue or postpartum blues.

Regain Strength Safely

Your body is still recovering, and it’s important to reintroduce strength training in a way that’s safe and aligned with your current needs. I’ll help you gradually build back your strength, focusing on functional movements that make everyday activities, like lifting your baby, easier and more comfortable.

Time for Self-Care

As a new mum, it can be difficult to find time for yourself. Working with a post natal personal trainer gives you dedicated time to focus on your well-being, which in turn, benefits both you and your baby. Exercise is a form of self-care that can help you recharge and feel more balanced.

When Can You Start Post Natal Personal Training?

It’s essential to wait for your doctor’s clearance before starting any postpartum fitness program, typically around 6-8 weeks after giving birth. Once you’ve received the green light, we’ll begin with an initial assessment to understand your current fitness level and any specific concerns, such as diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, or C-section recovery. From there, I’ll create a personalised program that focuses on safe, effective exercises to support your recovery and well-being.
